Resumo: As reformulações propostas para o ensino médico nos últimos anos introduziram poucas modificações na qualidade do profissional que se forma. Sugere-se que as novas propostas se encontrem sempre vinculadas a discussões sobre o tipo e o caráter ideológico na prática médica e que é necessário uma discussão mais centrada no próprio método clínico, definição de doença, doente e tratamento para enriquecer a questão do ensino e apontar, com mais clareza, algumas diretrizes. Afirma o autor, ainda, que a questão sobre o relacionamento saber - prática médica está presente nas reflexões dos profissionais, mas que é necessário ampliar os debates na Universidade para que esta exerça o seu papel de reflexão e cn1ica sobre o conhecimento e a prática decorrente.

Abstract: The present article reports the poor results in changing medical education last ten years, describing along general lines the main points studied about the question, like medical ideology. It suggests that medical knowledge and some reflections about the concepts of disease, health and the role of clinical practice can allow some news discussions about the question and contribute to emphasises the role of the University in the process of medical education and its changing.

Resumo: O autor relata algumas características da reorientação curricular do curso de graduação da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, apresentando as cargas horárias dos Departamentos que integram a graduação em Medicina. A carga horária total é de 11.040 horas, sendo 8.520 horas (77, 17%) destinadas à Faculdade de Medicina. As áreas fundamentais da formação profissional do aluno (Clínica Médica, Clínica Cirúrgica, Pediatria, Tocoginecologia e Clínica de Moléstias Infecciosas e Parasitárias) detém 50, 72% do total da graduação. Os estágios em emergência somam 900 horas (8,15% da graduação). O autor comenta, também, a carga horária restrita do Departamento de Psiquiatria, bem como das disciplinas oferecidas no Centro de Saúde Escola.

Abstract: Number of hours accomplished by all departments in the curriculum structure of undergraduation in Medicine, University of São Paulo School of Medicine. Some of the characteristics of the curriculum reorientation of the course of medicine, University of São Paulo School of Medicine, as well as the number of hours accomplished by all the departments which integrate the course of medicine are reported. The number of hours sums up to 11,040 hours, 8,520 (77, 17%) offered by the School of Medicine. The fundamental areas for the professional formation of the students (Clinical Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Tocogynecology and lnfectious and Parasitological Diseases) represent 50,72% of the course. Training periods in emergency amount to 900 hours (8,15% of the course). The number of hours accomplished by the Psychiatry Department, as well as by the disciplines belonging to the Health Center- School are also commented.

Resumo: Os autores, responsáveis pelo atendimento dado pelo Grupo de Assistência Psicológica ao Aluno da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, apresentam observações oriundas da atividade inicial com os primeiros e quintanistas. Foram identificadas dificuldades de adaptação ao novo sistema de estudo, em relação ao corpo docente e discente, ao paciente e à instituição.

Abstract: The authors, responsible for the attendance given by the Psychological Assistance Group for Students for Medical School of the University of São Paulo, present observations originating from initial activity with first and fifth year students. Difficulties of adjustment to the new tuition system, toward the teaching faculty and the student body have been indentified, as well as in relation to the patient and the institution.

Resumo: O sucesso e a crescente valorização dos Centros de Cirurgia Ambulatorial, nos últimos anos, vem aumentando o elenco de operações passiveis de serem realizadas a nível ambulatorial. Neste contexto, a Liga de Cirurgia Ambulatorial representa uma nova filosofia de ensino aplicável em instituição universitária no sentido de proporcionar ao acadêmico de Medicina, habilidade profissional para solucionar parte considerável das necessidades de sua comunidade. Foram realizadas 169 operações, pela Liga de Cirurgia Ambulatorial, no período de julho de 1986 a março de 1987, coordenada e supervisionada diretamente por docentes da 3a Clinica Cirúrgica do Hospital das Clinicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (Serviço do Prof. Mário Ramos de Oliveira). Nesta casuística não se observou nenhuma complicação no ato operatório. 82,24% dos casos operados foram seguidos até a alta ambulatorial. Houve 20 complicações pós-operatórias sendo duas de natureza infecciosa.

Abstract: The growing success as well as the wide recognition of the Out Patient Surgery Centers as a medical entity in the past few years have given a rather substantial contribution towards the further development of ambulatory surgical care. In this fashion, the "Liga de Cirurgia Ambulatorial" represents a new trend in the medical training field proportionating medical students skills to attend the community's demands. A total of 169 outpatient surgeries were performed by 12 medical students between June 1986 and March 1987 under the coordination and supervision of assistant professor of the "3a Clínica Cirúrgica do Hospital de Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo". No Complications took place during the surgical procedure. As many as 82,4% of all operated patients had a complete follow up before definitive dismissal. Only two cases out of a total of twenty with different postoperative complications were infectious.

Resumo: O artigo analisa o ensino nas escolas médicas dos seguintes assuntos: reprodução humana, regulação da fertilidade e assuntos populacionais. Ênfase é dada no conteúdo do ensino, origens e alterações e departamentos envolvidos nos programas. Este trabalho é baseado numa pesquisa realizada em 1982 em 32 escolas médicas localizadas nos Estados de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. Efetua uma comparação com resultados de outra pesquisa sobre o mesmo tema reaizada em 1966.

Abstract: This article analyse the teaching in the medical school of the following subjects: human reproduction, fertility regulation and population issues. Special attention is given to the teaching content, origin and alterations, and the departments engaged in the program. This work is based in a research made in 1982, studying 32 medical schools from the state of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. A comparative study is also performed with other researches in the area.
