Summary:
The author stresses the importance of medical students being prepared for the practice of de Medicine of the Man, not of the symptom. She draws a parallel between the Doctor-Patient and the Teacher-Student relationships showing the occurrence of similar phenomenons in bath, such as inequality, dependence, splitting, transference, etc, proposing that they should be understood in order to attain a better quality of these interactions, this being a crucial step in the making of a good physician. Considering that educators are concerned with the humanistic and ethical aspects of the students education she paints out procedures that are or could be conducted by the lnstitutions in order to prepare doctors for the practice of the Medicine of the Person.
