PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO E COMUNICAÇÃO ESCRITA

Abstract:

Since 1965 master and doctoral programmes were established in Brazil, aiming at the training of professors for Higher Education institutions, researchers and professionals of the highest level of competence; all these individuals need to have high level of mastery in writting since they must publish dissertations, thesis, scientific articles and multiple documents. In order to analyse mastery in writing 27 papers presented by candidates to a master course in the health area, located in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro, were analysed in relation to content, pontuaction, morphosynthax and spelling. Results obtained were poor and to improve this situation the authors suggest: a) a higher degree of selection in master programmes; b) offer of Portuguese courses during master and doctoral studies; e) revision of articles sbmitted to scientific reviews by language experts.
