THREE POETICS, FORMATIVE TRAVELING, WORLD-SIGHTS: BAUDELAIRE, NIETZSCHE, MONTAIGNE, AND THE HUMAN FORMATION

ABSTRACT

The essay intends to reveal traces of three poetics that offer us clues to think about a formative meaning to the term trip. Initially, we elaborated the theme with two modern thinkers: Charles Baudelaire and Friedrich Nietzsche. Then, we sought the theme’s roots in the modern presage of Michel de Montaigne’s renaissance thought, drafting connectivity points between the authors’ perspectives. We found shifts in the meanings of the term trip and the consolidation of the sense of world, with which we opened a human formation perspective signaled through the aesthetic plasticity of the three poetics.
