RESUMO Este artigo tem como propósito realizar um resgate da trajetória intelectual de Maria Emilia Amarante Torres Lima. A obra dessa pesquisadora constitui um importante testemunho da história da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, assim como do vínculo inicial dessa disciplina com a Psicologia Social. Em sua tese de doutoramento, orientada por Michel Pêcheux, Lima desenvolveu um estudo pioneiro sobre o fenômeno do populismo no Brasil a partir da análise da construção e funcionamento dos discursos de 1º de maio de Getúlio Vargas. No entanto, o trabalho dessa autora é pouco conhecido tanto dentro da Análise do Discurso, como da Psicologia. A fim de dar a ler essa memória, tomamos como aporte teórico-metodológico os estudos desenvolvidos por Jeanne Marie Gagnebin sobre memória e narração, em conjunto com os conceitos de arquivo e leitura-escritura elaborados por Michel Pêcheux.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This paper has the purpose of rescuing the intellectual trajectory of Maria Emilia Amarante Torres Lima. The work of this researcher is an important testimony of the history of the Discourse Analysis of the French line, as well as the initial link of this discipline with Social Psychology. In her doctoral thesis, guided by Michel Pêcheux, Lima developed a pioneering study on the phenomenon of populism in Brazil from the analysis of the construction and operation of the speeches of May the 1st of Getúlio Vargas. However, this author’s work is little known both within Discourse Analysis and Psychology. In order to rescue this memory, we take as a theoretical-methodological contribution the studies developed by Jeanne Marie Gagnebin on memory and narration together with the concepts of archiving and reading-writing elaborated by Michel Pêcheux.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O filme Coringa (2019), de Todd Phillips, é a representação cinematográfica mais recente do notório príncipe palhaço de Gotham City. Embora as adaptações anteriores do filme usualmente o representassem como um vilão do herói do Batman, esta versão o descreve como um homem solitário que tem de lidar com a depressão e luta para ser aceito e se encaixar na sociedade. Portanto, esta versão do personagem carrega uma aura marcada de consciência sociopolítica. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o filme Coringa de Todd Phillips através das lentes do ritual de carnaval apresentado por Mikhail Bakhtin. O trabalho discutirá os diferentes elementos carnavalescos presentes no filme Coringa, e ilustrará como o filme aproveita ao máximo para montar um ataque contra a cultura predominante e oficial de Gotham. Além disso, ele argumentará como o filme Coringa forma uma condição utópica em que a anarquia constante resulta em liberdade.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Todd Phillips’ Joker (2019) is the latest cinematic portrayal of the notorious clown prince of Gotham City. Although the previous film adaptations would usually picture him as a villain to Batman’s hero, this version depicts him as a lonely man who has to cope with depression and struggles to be accepted by and fit in the society. Therefore, this version of the character carries a marked aura of socio-political consciousness. The present paper aims to analyze Todd Phillips’ Joker through the lens of the carnival ritual as put forward by Mikhail Bakhtin. The paper will discuss different carnivalesque elements present in Joker, and illustrate how the movie takes full advantage of them to mount an attack against the prevalent, official culture of Gotham. Moreover, it will argue how Joker forms a utopian condition where the constant anarchy results in freedom.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO As barbas são um indício de que o homem alcançou a maturidade. Com essa imagem, são analisadas as canções do segundo álbum do artista Baco Exu do Blues, Bluesman. Com apenas 22 anos de idade, em seu ato de criação, Baco criticou as condições de desigualdade socioeconômica e o racismo impostos ao afrodescendente, atuando como um signo ideológico na construção de uma consciência negra. Como um símbolo de insurgência, Baco também se utilizou de linguagem mítica para compor uma identidade e formatar o seu rap, criando um herói. O hip hop critica o capitalismo racial, instaurado no Brasil com a colonização e o sequestro de africanos escravizados. As composições são apreendidas como gritos de resistência à necropolítica - um chamado para a execução de atos que relacionam valores éticos e poesia ao fazer político.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Beards are an indication that man has reached maturity. It is with this idea in mind that the songs from the second album by artist Baco Exu do Blues, Bluesman, are analyzed. At the early age of 22, in his act of creation, Baco criticized the conditions of socioeconomic inequality and racism imposed on people of African descent, acting as an ideological sign in the construction of a Black Consciousness. As a symbol of insurgency, Baco also used mythical language to compose an identity and format his rap, creating a hero. Hip hop criticizes racial capitalism, established in Brazil with the colonization and the arrival of enslaved Africans. The compositions are analyzed as cries of resistance to necropolitics – a call to perform acts that relate ethical values and poetry when doing politcs.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O presente artigo tem por objetivo discutir o modo como a (co-)construção do gênero discursivo aponta para disputas sobre a (re)construção da realidade social. Para tanto, ensaia-se uma reflexão teórica, aproximando os postulados bakhtinianos aos da Análise Crítica de Discurso, na formulação da Análise Crítica de Gêneros. Analisa-se uma sessão de grupo socioeducativo para homens autores de violência contra a mulher, ilustrando a disputa discursiva sobre o recorte constituinte do tema do gênero. Os dados analisados foram gerados em pesquisa de tipo etnográfico, ao longo de 12 meses de trabalho em campo. A discussão permite perceber a natureza aberta da linguagem e das práticas, tornada inteligível por meio da análise crítica de gêneros discursivos, e aponta para pontos de aberturas imprescindíveis na luta política por mudanças sociais.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This article aims to discuss how the (co-)construction of discourse genre shows disputes over the (re)construction of social reality. To accomplish this, a theoretical review is done, bringing the Bakhtinian postulates closer to those of Critical Discourse Analysis, in the formulation of Critical Genre Analysis. A socio-educational group session (sessão de grupo socioeducativo) for men who have committed violence against women is analyzed, illustrating the discursive dispute regarding the constituent frame of the genre’s theme. The data analyzed was generated over 12 months of ethnographic research field work. The discussion allows us to perceive the open nature of language and practices, made intelligible through critical analysis of discourse genres, and points to essential openings in the political struggle for social change.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Considerando que as migrações não são feitas apenas de sofrimento e exclusão, pretendemos, neste trabalho, analisar e comparar, à luz da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, três narrativas de vida de migrantes brasileiros na Europa, para buscar compreender, por meio de seus discursos, como eles obtiveram sucesso do outro lado do Atlântico. Os resultados, em linhas gerais, apontam para três aspectos comuns: a coragem de “arriscar”, a determinação de vencer os desafios e a disposição de integrar-se plenamente ao novo país.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Considering that migrations are not made of suffering and exclusion alone, we intend, in this paper, to analyze and compare, in the light of French Discourse Analysis, three life stories of Brazilian migrants to Europe to understand, by means of their discourse, how they achieved success abroad. The results, in general, point to three common aspects: courage to take risks, determination to overcome the challenges and the willingness to integrate fully into the new country.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Neste trabalho, analisa-se a diatribe na construção de sentidos da Carta de Paulo aos Romanos, focalizando as relações dialógicas decorrentes de seu uso na construção enunciativa da carta. Para isso, o artigo dialoga com a perspectiva enunciativa da linguagem oriunda do Círculo de Bakhtin, a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa e interpretativa. A análise da carta mostra a ocorrência da diatribe materializada nos elementos linguístico-enunciativos configuradores do discurso direto retórico. Ao lançar mão desse recurso diatríbico na construção de sentidos, a carta desvela sua dialogicidade interna, o diálogo velado, o encontro de vozes, de discursos, materializando enunciativamente pontos de vista dos destinatários. Assim, consequentemente, a construção de sentidos se instaura sob maior ou menor influência do outro e da sua resposta antecipada.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In this work it was analized the diatribe in the meaning making of the Paul’s letter to Romans, focusing on the dialogical relations in its use in the enunciative construction of the letter. Thus, it dialogues with the enunciative language perspective from Bakhtin’s Circle, from a qualitative and interpretative approach. The analysis of the letter showed the occurrence of the diatribe materialized in the linguistic-enunciative elements that configure the rhetorical direct discourse. In terms of using this diatribical resource in meaning making, the letter reveals its internal dialogicity, veiled dialogue, the meeting of voices and discourses, materializing enunciatively recipients’ points of view. Therefore, meaning making settles down under bigger and smaller influence of the other and their anticipated response.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO A variação do estilo individual ao longo do tempo e as tendências na evolução do estilo são questões importantes na linguística moderna. Este artigo investiga como parâmetros de categorização de espaço e movimento foram implantados pelo famoso poeta americano H. W. Longfellow em diferentes estágios de sua carreira criativa. A atenção está focada em unidades lexicais com significado espacial. A análise revelou alterações significativas (i) na estrutura do espaço, (ii) na proporção das relações horizontais versus verticais dos objetos, estáticas versus dinâmicas, e (iii) no papel do ser humano no espaço poético. Os primeiros poemas representam o mundo como uma unidade equilibrada, que depois se transforma num sistema mais complexo com dois estratos de realidade. Na fase final da carreira criativa de Longfellow, o espaço está novamente integrado no seu mundo poético, mas agora adquire uma nova organização estrutural que é, de certa maneira, diferente do seu período inicial.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Variance of individual style over time and the tendencies in style evolution are important issues in modern linguistics. This paper investigates how parameters of space and movement categorization were deployed by the famous American poet H.W. Longfellow at different stages of his creative career. The attention is focused on lexical units with spatial meaning. The analysis revealed significant changes in (i) the structure of space, (ii) the ratio of horizontal vs. vertical relations of objects, statics vs. dynamics, and (iii) the role of a human being in poetic space. The early verse represents the world as a balanced unity, which then turns into a more complex system with two strata of reality. At the final stage of Longfellow’s creative career, space in his poetic world is integrated again but now acquires a new structural organisation that is different, to a certain extent, from that of his early period.
