SUMMARY
The results presented In this paper were obtained in a planting of Hevea rubber (H. brasiliensis Muell.-Arg.) made with the Tj-1 x Tj-16 hybrid at the Experiment Station of the Instituto Agronômico located 23°06' south, on the coastal region of São Paulo.
The insatisfactory growth is attributed to the poor handling of the rubber planting. The rubber production was 12.6 g per tree and per tapped.
