Abstract: the present article aims to discuss the construction of bridges from the Festa de Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Homens Pretos from Minas Novas-MG with the african continent, as well as the memories mobilized by the event. The choice of this theme is directly related to the narratives about the history of the municipality, the relations with the African continent and the constitution of black Catholicism in the region. In this way, I will present elements of Bantu cosmology, present in some of the rituals, which demonstrate the creation of Afro-Diasporic cultural traits and black resistance over time.
