EDITORIAL EDITORIAL

This special edition of REM publishes 12 of the best papers presented at the Tenth Brazilian Stainless Steel Seminar. This was a prestigious event with a total of 35 accepted papers that can accessed at" http: www.abinox.org.biblioteca-tecnica-seminario-brasileiro-2010.php. The X BRAZILIAN STAINLESS STEEL SEMINAR - INOX 2010 - was organized as an "international event", to celebrate a ten-event milestone. Accordingly, all papers were published in English otherwise the desired internationalization of the event would not have occurred. The yearning to publish a special international commemorative edition of REM came about when the organizers of our previous Seminar, held in the year of 2008 - INOX 2008 -evaluated the history and tradition of the event, as well as their representation in the segment to which it is related.

Sponsors like CBMM, CERDAU and CNPq were fundamental for the publication of the articles found in INOX 2010 - to which we express our sincere thanks. We hope this initiative will be supported by a much larger number of companies in the future, ensuring a greater number of published articles and an earlier publication. We leave here our thanks to the authors of the papers of this publication, the likes of which could not have happened without the special efforts of REM's editor, Dr. Jorio Coelho.
