This study deals with the concern shown by health care professionals, especially by those working in the psychiatric nursing area, with thestress they experience due to particular characteristics of their work activity. We tried to learn about the relationship between work conditions in nursing, an anxiety-builder environment, and physical and psychological exhaustion. We found the need to implement programs aimed at reducing professional risks ran by psychiatric nursing staft.
