ORGANIZATIONAL AESTHETICS AND VIRTUAL EDUCATION: A SEMIOTIC PERSPECTIVE

This research work aims to investigate aesthetics in organizations, from a semiotic perspective, and identify what are the perceptions that people have, about nine dimensions of the organizations in which they work. A sample of 60 people was selected, 75% of whom works as professors in virtual education at Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro. The results allow us to conclude that valuations such as cultural aspects, pragmatic effects of actions and organizational purposes are perceived as more important than processes - plans, actions and evaluations; and fundamentals - principles, tactics and strategies. The main conclusion that can be inferred from this research is that the professors value a stress-free organizational climate, to favor creativity and innovation. They understand that a culture in which ethics and transparency predominate helps the organization to have public recognition that is, a good image.
