Editorial

This issue of Revista Brasileira de Saúde Ocupacional contains six original articles, two of them (Ferreira e Cockel et al.) selected from the papers presented at the last congress of ABERGO (2004) which, in addition to the texts already published in the last issue, render homage to Professor Alain Wisner for his great contribution to the development of ergonomics in Brazil.

The other four papers bring important contributions to occupational health and safety: Ramos e Jardim make a review of the literature on the subject "traumatic cerebral lesion and occupational accident". Araújo e Vasconcelos analyze the state of bio-safety in seven laboratories at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Assunção , based on the results of ergonomics in supermarkets, refutes the idea of the right posture which does not consider the infl uence of production constraints in workers' behavior and activities. Pizzatto et al. describe the profile of the occupational accidents in Araçatuba between 2000 and 2001.

With this publication Fundacentro seeks to accomplish its task of divulging scientific information on occupational health and safety.
