Eneida Maria de Souza: An influence without anguish

ABSTRACT

Every spelling of life touches those who have been written in us. This essay resumes a theoretical trajectory influenced by one of the great Brazilian literary critics: Eneida Maria de Souza. The readings of Crítica Cult - mainly the article “Notes on biographical criticism” - and “Pedro Nava: the risk of memory”, among other articles authored by the intellectual from Minas Gerais, took place through other texts that dialogue with literature and history. In a brief theoretical-biographical journey, it reflects on the blurring of the boundaries between textual genres and the convergence between theoretical constructions from different areas of knowledge, as well as on the mark left by “strong poet-critics”.
