This article uses some excerpts from the Genesis selected from adapted Bibles for children to discuss whether the choice for adaptations is due to the possibility the translator has to manipulate the biblical discourse differently from traditional Bibles and it also attempts to investigate whether her decisions are analogous with the biblical ideology.
