New Technologies Applied to the Teaching of Human Anatomy

Abstract:

Current social changes suggest that the greatest challenge for universities is to train healthcare professionals with a creative approach to everyday difficulties. As open-minded individuals capable of dealing with social pluralism, such professionals must keep pace with current technologies and be knowledgeable concerning group dynamics. This article thus aims to identify technological innovations that could make the study of Human Anatomy more appealing and possibly improve the teaching of this subject. lt is also important to encourage reflection (and reevaluation of) current educational practice, thus creating alternatives for introducing the social reality of health professionals into the course of study in Human Anatomy.
