The purpose of this paper is to present some aspects of Dante Moreira Leite’s life and work, by the analysis of his main books and manuscripts, complemented through his colleagues and students’ testimonies. It attempts to build up the author’s intellectual image, stressing mainly his role in constituting teaching and research scientific patterns to Social Psychology in Brazil. It also seeks to understand his psychological science conceptions, interdisciplinary practices and the issue of difference as it appears in his work.
