PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND DIGITAL CULTURE: PERSPECTIVES, STRESS AND CONTRIBUTIONS IN TEACHER TRAINING OF THIS CURRICULAR COMPONENT

Abstract

The objective of this text is to understand and explain what are the perspectives, tensions, and contributions of digital culture to the training of teachers of the curricular component of Physical Education (P.E.). The applied methodology consisted of the application of questionnaires through online forms and the application of interviews, configuring itself as a case study. The subjects of the research were professors of the P.E. course at the Federal University of Sergipe. The analysis of two data forms was constituted through the application of the content analysis technique. The results show that teachers have heterogeneous training perspectives in the context of digital culture. In this context, formative contributions are evident, such as the establishment of a critical perspective in the teaching-learning process, both in the school and academic setting, for the field of physical education. This enables the development of diverse themes, such as sports and its relationship with cinema and media in general.
