THE LEARNIFICATION OF THE PEDAGOGY FOR COMPETENCY AT BNCC

ABSTRACT

The article examines the different appropriations of the “right to learning and development” construct throughout the elaboration process of the Brazilian National Learning Standards (BNCC), in addition to the alleged opposition between educational projects based on the “right to learning” and the pedagogy for the competency, claimed by some authors. With this in mind, we performed a series of textual analyses of different versions of the BNCC, complemented by analyses of the National Curricular Parameters (PCN). The results indicate that the “learnification” of the pedagogy for the competency operated an unprecedented synthesis in the text of the official curriculum from the third version of the BNCC towards an educational project much more individualistic than that of the PCN, as well as weakened the legally well-defined right to education.
