The uncovered human body by practices of drawing: from the uses to the disciplining of drawing

Inserted into the investigation question on the reasons why the sociocultural practices of drawing would have acquired and lost the status of school content, this article aims to reflect about the different practice of drawing the human body in two specific activities: the artistic activity and the medical activity. It is assumed that the understanding of the characteristics of school life drawing practices require the investigation of the drawing practices outside of school. As the practice of drawing the human body has gone through the Brazilian school's spaces, it is our interest, therefore, to investigate how it was possible to form such knowledge domain. In this sense, our strategy will be to examine which problems permeated such practice during the Renaissance, in order to understand philosophical, conceptual, technical and scientific implications arising from its various meanings.
