Theoretical variance of residues is suggested for statistical analysis of percentage data with cases of extreme values (0 e 100%) derived from an experimental unit equal or greater to 20 tested individuals. The statistical model is illustrated by analyzing the results of an experiment in which the effect of vegetal powders was evaluated on the survivorship of Zabrotes subfasciatus (Boh.) adults.
