This study presents reflection regarding changing movements in nursing graduation, emphasizing the professional preparation to attend current conformation of health sector, descrying the consolidation of Family Health Strategy, National Health System, and the guarantee of their fundamental principles. The text detaches innovations that have occurred in curricula and teaching political projects, searching the formation of nurses cognizant of social and health issues and capable of intervening on health sector's rearrangement. In this sense, it contributes for the history of nursing graduation teaching, offering subsidies for reflection of nurse's academical formation for Family Health Strategy/National Health System.
