A bibliographic study focusing on Hepatitis B, aiming to identify where the studies are taking place, their nature, type and the emphasis of the studies was undertaken. Research was done through the CEPEn Thesis Bank for the period of 2000 through 2006,using the descriptors: "Hepatitis B" and "Hepatitis B Vaccine". Twenty-one (21) studies were found concentrated in two centers of study: University of São Paulo (47.6%) and Federal University of Goiás (23,8%). The studies were developed as master's(95.2%) and doctorate (4.8%) works, the majority (95,2%) being quantitative in nature. Of the studies found, 61.9% are related to occupational accidentsand19.0% refer to the seroprevalence of Hepatitis B.
