Professional competences of nurses and its management in a private hospital

The objective of this research was to analyze how the professional competences of nurses of a private hospital (Belo Horizonte-MG) are configured and managed in their own perception. A descriptive case study was performed with a qualitative approach. The data from 15 interviews, including the application of a projective technique, were subjected to content analysis. The combination of practical and theoretical knowledge and the care for the patient were the core competences listed by the subjects, which are outsourced in various ways and managed primarily by themselves. Face the data and the limitations of the study, suggestions have been outlined for future research and for the actors involved.
