Academic direction: reflexions of a distance learning experience

The present text is the result of observations conducted during these last two years of work at the Federal University of Paraná on the implantation of a Distance Education undergraduate course in the field of Pedagogy with major in fundamental education. This project is aimed at promoting iqual opportunities in education and training as a social policy for opening ample acess to the university to profissionals on the field of education. Here I propose to address to the reader, issues related with the identity of an academic director at the associated learning center, who is responsible for building spaces, processes, subjects, knowledges, practices, relationships and meanings towards a knowledge that is imbeded on doing, being and acting. Without getting astray, I took as an object of analises, the dinamic relationship between practice and theory within the experience on the course in study.
