Dialogues on the history of education in the Pan Amazon

ABSTRACT

The text presents the understanding of three scholars who research and publish in the field of the history of education in countries that make up the Pan Amazon, more precisely in three realities - Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela - which have approximations and distances because of their internal specificities and the variations in the course of their histories. The dialogues were organized around previously established themes, in an interview format, guided by recurrent themes, in some cases controversial and always fundamental for conducting research and producing historical knowledge in education. The questions that guided the writing were: motivations for conducting studies and research in the field of the history of education; the “findings” of the research carried out; the theoretical methodological frameworks used; the dialogues that are being established with diversity and plurality; and, at the end, the three researchers comment on what they can do and present recommendations to those who are embarking on the theme of the history of education. The writing interweaves conceptual aspects with the results related to each of the themes. Although the structure of the interview was maintained, collective authorship was considered, plus analytical incursions or citations that allow to expand, confront or validate the positions assumed.
