ABSTRACT

This state of knowledge aims at analyzing the survey of scientific papers published in national journals, which deal with the interface between Youth and Adult Education and Rural Education. This is a bibliographical research, whose systematization and data analysis were accomplished through categorizations, based on Content Analysis techniques. The survey of the journals was carried out via internet, at the CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) [Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel] Platform of Journals, by means of the descriptor Youth and Adult Education and Rural Education, taking into account that there is an interface between the two fields of knowledge. Among the results it is highlighted that the papers point to the necessity of interaction between youth and adult education and rural education, considering the rural subjects and their cultural context as the reference point of this kind of education, surpassing the current urban-centric philosophical and curricular paradigm.
