SUMMARY
The authors report 66 cases of lagophtalmos due to VII nerve palsy of various etiologies, classified in groups, accordance to their clinical severity.
A 39 cases were submitted to surgical treatment with several techniques, such as Tessier cantoplasty, Arion technique, “tarsal-strip”, tarsorraphy and others.
The purpose of this study is, considering the aesthetic and functional improvement of the various surgical procedures, to find a clinic-surgical classification of lagophtalmos, that would indicate the best techniques to each group.
