SUMMARY

Fifty cases of low vision in children were analysed. The study showed that the etiology was infectious in 42% of the cases, hereditary in 36%. The most frequent cause was Congenital Toxoplasmosis.

Prevention of contagious diseases, during pregnancies, that lead to partial blindness in children, is of great importance.
