SUMMARY
The authors present a case of nongranulomatous bilateral iridocyclitis in a patient bearing disseminated cutaneous leishmaniasis.
Ocular involvement occurred through hematogenic eay since ocular adnexa, cornea and conjunctiva were not damaged.
It was possible, for the first time, to detect the presence of leishmania in aqueous humor, with direct research and culture.
The patient was first treated with N-metil-glutamina and no clinical answer was obtained. This drug was then substituted for Anfotericina-B with good clinical response.
