Editorial note
The Brazilian Journal of Biology is accepting review papers in the following areas of interest: General Biology with emphasis on molecular biology, genetics and histology; Zoology in the areas of taxonomy, reproduction, physiology and ethology of animals; Botany in the areas of taxonomy, morphology, physiology; Ecology in the areas of processes, interactions of organisms and the environment, impacts of invasive species on ecosystems and communities, environmental degradation and the impacts on ecosystems, communities and organisms. The review papers should emphasize the "state of the art" in the area of the review especially aimed at the neotropical ecosystems, communities and organisms and provide a basis for further advances in the subject on the topic of the review. Before sending the complete manuscript, the authors are invited to send one page abstract of the proposed paper and after analysis by the Editorial Board and acceptance of the proposal, we expect the full paper to be completed in two to three months.
