SUMMARY

An experiment using pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.) was installed on Red Yellow Podzolic soil Laras variation, with the object of studying green forage production. The treatments consisted of cuttings effected at 75, 105, 135, 165, and 195 days after planting. The subsequent cuttings were always made five months after the first cutting. It was observed that the cutting effected at 75 days after planting had a detrimental effect on the subsequent cuttings. There was no significant difference among cuttings effected at 105, 135, 165 and 195 days. The fifth cutting was not economical for all treatments.
