SUMMARY

This paper presents the results of a fertilizing experiment for tomato (Licopersicon esculentum Mill), in extensive culture, without stakes nor irrigation, conducted at the Pindorama Experimental Station in podzolized soil of Lins and Marilia, variation Lins.

Reaction to nitrogen was not significant, however highly significant were the effects of phosphorus and potash application. Production grew with the increase of doses of phosphorus. Potash induced better results when this nutrient was applied in one only dose.
