Mancha anular do amendoim causada pelo vírus de vira-cabeça
A. S. Costa
SUMMARY
A virus disease of the peanut plant, described in 1941, is reported to be caused by the tomato spotted wilt virus, locally known as "vira-cabeça" virus. The occurrence of the spotted wilt virus in peanut plantings has already been reported from Africa. It is suggested that the peanut disease, rosette or top necrosis, present in Argentine, might also be caused by the spotted wilt virus, which is known to affect the tobacco and tomato plants in the same country.
