The demon of Béla Tarr: between cinema, literature and education ¹ 3 A partir de uma compreensão do tempo como signo problemático da vida e do pensamento, cujas imagens, tais como linearidade, simultaneidade ou diacronia, sempre parecem em desfalque com o tempo próprio da experiência estética, assumiremos aqui a concepção de tempo descentralizado, ou, para utilizarmos as palavras de Peter Pál Pelbart (2010) em seu estudo sobre as imagens do tempo na filosofia de Gilles Deleuze: ao modo de um tempo “não uniforme e não homogêneo, tempo não esquematizado pelo conceito, não submetido às categorias doentendimento, não ‘representado’, não colocado em série, não ligado, não centrado no presente, não encurvado etc.” (p. 183), numa dramatização tanto espacial como temporal. ² 4 Como não há tradução desses livros para o português, esclarecemos que o título do primeiro obtivemos do próprio filme de Béla Tarr, Satantango (Sátántangó, 1994). Quanto ao segundo, embora esteja em conexão com o filme Harmonias de Werckmeister (Werckmeister Harmóniák, 2000), optamos pela tradução livre do título em inglês, The melancholy of resistance.

Abstract

This research discusses the experience of thought from a philosophical perspective, guided by the writings of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, aiming to question representational modes of thought constitutive of the present time, in order to pursue their philosophical ramifications in the field of education. To do so, the article analyzes an experience of thought based on the encounter of cinema and literature. In a more circumscribed way, the work of the filmmaker Béla Tarr is chosen as a fruitful example of the articulation between a certain mode of filmic construction and the literary work. Exploring the singularities of this creation, the article proposes this filmic construction configures what can be called a Tarrian procedure. In conclusion, the encounter with the sensitivity of the Tarrian images incites the audience to come in contact with the sensitivity of thought itself, a place where education can forge its powers.
