Revista Brasileira de Ciência Política is published by the Institute of Political Science and the Graduate Program in Political Science of the University of Brasília.

The journal was created in 2009. The journal was initially published twice a year and now publishes three issues a year since 2012.

The Revista Brasileira de Ciência Política seeks to publish original scientific research on politics and political phenomena from varying theoretical and methodological perspectives. The journal is particularly interested in publishing methodologically rigorous work.

Its abbreviated title is Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Polít.
