Basic Information
Founded in 1996 by Scarlett Marton, Cadernos Nietzsche is published twice yearly – every May and September. A publication of the GEN – Grupo de Estudos Nietzsche, Cadernos propose to diffuse works of foreign and Brazilian scholars, from the most experienced to doctoral or masters students, to a public in philosophy and social sciences in general. Being a wide open space for the confrontation of interpretations, Cadernos Nietzsche attempt to be a vehicle for articles dedicated to exploring the philosopher ideas or unveiling the scheme of his concepts, for writings devoted to the influence exerted by him or to the repercussion of his work, for studies committed to comparing his approach to certain themes with other authors’ approach, for pieces that aim at analyzing specific problems or examining particular questions, as well as for texts that struggle to evaluate the actuality of his thinking as a whole. The abbreviated title of the journal is Cad. nietzsche, which must be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographical subtitles. The journal is evaluated with A1 by Qualis score issued by CAPES (Brazil's Ministry of Education Agency for the Improvement of Higher Education). |

Criteria for Submission of Reviews
|
Peer Review Process
Cadernos Nietzsche employ a double-blind peer-review process, in which two or more peers selected by the journal review the manuscript. Author and reviewer identities are hidden from each other throughout the entire process. The Editor, members of the Editorial Board, and/or by invited reviewers review all scientific contributions. The review occurs in the order of these following steps: Initial Review: In this stage, the Assistant Editor reviews each manuscript for fulfillment of the guidelines established in the Instructions for Authors. Any manuscript that does not fulfill the requirements will be sent back to the authors for correction. Manuscripts that do not pass this initial review will be returned to their authors. Peer Review Process: Manuscripts that pass the initial review are assigned to two independent peer reviewers, in accordance with their specialization in the field. Recommendations: The peer reviewers emit their recommendations directly in the OJS system. Possible decisions include “Accept Submission”, “Major Revisions”, “Reject and Resubmit”, or “Reject Submission”. If the decision is “Reject and Resubmit”, the manuscript must be adapted and send for another round of peer review. Acceptance or Rejection: The Editorial Board decides, based on the peer reviewer recommendations, if the manuscript will be accepted or rejected. If the manuscript is accepted, it then passes on to the process of editing for publication. |
How to send manuscripts:
As specified in the “Instructions to the authors”, the articles must be sent electronically in DOC format to Unifesp´s journals system, at the following address: https://periodicos.unifesp.br/index.php/cniet There is no taxes for submission and evaluation of articles. |
