Brazilian Oral Research (BOR) is the official publication of the Sociedade Brasileira de Pesquisa Odontológica(SBPqO) - IADR Brazilian Division

BOR begins with vol. 18, number 1, January 2004, and maintains the numbering of its predecessor, the Pesquisa Odontológica Brasileira (ISSN 1517-7491), published between 2000 and 2003, from vol. 14 to vol. 17. From vol. 29 in 2014, its publication has been exclusively online (Continuously updated).

The Brazilian Oral Research aims at publishing original research works (complete or short communication); systematic reviews and critiques; clinical cases; and letters to the editor.

The abbreviated title of the journal is Braz Oral Res, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references, and bibliographical strips.
