The interlocutor in the textual productions found in textbooks

This research analyzes two collections of Portuguese language textbooks, extensively used in the northwestern region of the state of Paraná, Brazil, with special reference to the interlocutor's image and influence in the writing act, within the context of textual production suggestions. Results show that only one collection presented text production suggestions without defining the interlocutors. The problem, however, is not due to the absence of the receiver since the dominant presence of the "teacher and colleague" interlocutor coupled with the evaluation image always brings about some difficulties in the construction of writing. Although incoherence is found in both collections, one of them acknowledges the interlocutor and tries to avoid textual artificiality. The second collection, however, fails to make any effort to diminish the interlocutor's evaluation image.
