Complexity in the education of professionals for the health care

This study aims to reflect about education under the point of view of complexity, according to several authors. In addition, it aims to compose some ideas about complexity in education as a whole and particularly about the education of health professionals. Formal education, including collegiate and university, teaches to make a separation of the objects and their contexts; subjects are separated from each other. Such separation and fragmentation is unable to capture "what is interlaced together", that is, the complex. This generates a thought of separation of things that are linked, unifying what is multiple, eliminating everything that brings disorder or contradiction for our understanding. This explains the transcendental importance of Thought Reform, that which generates a thought of the context and the complex, enabling students to develop pertinent knowledge, allowing them to face the reality of complexity, noticing the links, interactions, mutual implications of phenomena, and taking into consideration the multi dimensionality of problems.
