This article discusses some questions on relations between society and knowledge, approaching issues linked to society of information and interdisciplinarity (networks), associated to advances on information and communication technologies. Based on those relations, it discusses specifically the development of informational methodologies and the possibilities and challenges emerging from them for research and production of knowledge on Social Sciences and for the understanding and development of information and knowledge networks.
