ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to describe the joint assistance provided by the professionals in the “Centers for Psychosocial Attention to Drugs and Alcohol Users” (CAPS-AD). The groups constitute important strategies in the caring of the psychoactive substance users, being practices increasingly used in these contexts. The groups received different nomes, are coordinated by professionals from different areas and their operation is through diverse methodologies, depending on the purpose, context, theoretical adopted by the health professional ar from their clinicai experience.
