Validation of a serialized album on harm reduction for homeless persons

Abstract

This study sought to build and validate a serialized album on harm reduction for homeless persons. Methodological research was developed for the construction and validation of the serialized album by 22 expert judges. An agreement index of at least 80% was considered to ensure its validation. There was a 100% agreement level regarding the objectives of the educational material, as well as its relevance to clinical practice; structure and presentation obtained 95.5% agreement. As for the judges’ validation, the global content validity index was 0.99, thus confirming the validation of content and appearance among specialists in the field. The technology was considered valid in terms of content, and can be used as an educational tool on harm reduction and as a means to approach and build bonds between professionals and homeless persons in health and social services.
