Imunização de camundongos com «vacina» viva avirulenta de Trypanosoma cruzi

After having demonstrated that the cultivated Y strain of Trypanosoma cruzi became avirulent to laboratory animais without losing its protective activity against a further virulent infection, the Author concludes that a very small dose of live trypanosomes (about 3 metaciclic forms per gram of body weight) is able to afford good immunity to mice. General considerations about the probable mechanism of the immunity are made.
