The Author reports the results of his studies with intravenous cholecystocholangiography in the chronic stages of Chagas' disease, specially in "megas" - megaesophagus and megacolon. The research was performed in the Hospital das Clinicas of the University Federal of Pernambuco, Brazil, in out-patients from endemic areas. The diagnosis was established by strongly positive complement fixation test for Chagas disease (Guerreiro & Machado's test); roentgenologic changes of the gallbladder and extrahepatic biliary ducts were considered.
