Abstract
The myxomycete Physarum notabile (Physaraceae, Physarales) has its first occurrence recorded for the Brazilian Central-West Region, developing on living trunks of orchard trees in an urban area of the city of Anápolis, Goiás. The characterization of the species and its distribution are presented.
