Abstract:
The research aims at the formation of racial relations in Brazil, starting from the analysis of the inclusion of racial theories in the context of a country marked by miscegenation. The starting point was to reflect on its formation from the post-independence conjuncture, when it was necessary to think of a new identity for the people who were already condemned by racial mixing. The investigation was carried out through bibliographic research, seeking to reorganize a possible path taken by the formation of racism in Brazil, starting from the reflection of the scientific prism of the explanations of the differences between the races and how they were inserted in the social thought of the time.
