ABSTRACT
Study of the narrative of Os carbonários, by Alfredo Sirkis (1950-2020), starting from the analysis of the paratext on numerous editions of the book, incorporating contradictions, explaining and detailing the construction of the character-narrator, Sirkis himself, who has well-defined characteristics of witness and survivor.
