HYBRID TRAJECTORY: ODUVALDO VIANNA’S CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE BRAZILIAN INSERTION IN THE LATIN AMERICAN AMUSEMENT MARKET CIRCUIT (1923 – 1946)

Abstract

Oduvaldo Vianna is one of the poorly studied personalities, surprisingly. However, he was an important innovator in the arts with very influential works in Brazilian theater, cinema and radio. His work was fundamental to the introduction of innovations in the amusement market in Brazil due to the quality of publications and an educational role of the arts. He is an important name in the connection of Brazilian production with the popular Latin American artistic circuit. This article intends to analyze the work of Oduvaldo Vianna as a producer of artistic production (popular and commercial), as well as an articulator of the artistic work market between Brazil and Latin America mostly through Buenos Aires.
