Physical exercise in patients with high blood pressure: a conceptual analysis

In the treatment of arterial hypertension, the physical exercises have been appointed like one of main no pharmacological measures. The study aim to analyze the concept of physical exercise in patients with hypertension and identify the possible critical attributes and the antecedents and consequent factors. The study followed the conceptual analysis methodology and of the integrative revision of scientific articles about the thematic of the study. Whereby critical attributes were identified aspects related time, frequency, duration and intensity of physical exercise. The antecedents found were: advice/education, motivation, goals development from Transtheoretical Model, self-efficacy and support groups. On top of consequents general health benefits were evidenced like physiological, psychosocial, cognitive and behavioral benefits. The conceptual analyze allowance the quality assistance centered in the patient with hypertension with purpose to disease control and complications prevention.
