This exploratory study had as objective to identify the behavioral modifications occasioned by the mother-son's separation during the hospitalization of the child: The results obtained were the following: children that "BEFORE" the hospitalization "formed frases", "always played with other children" and presented "normal or tranquil patern of sleeping", had these behavings modified "DURING" the hospitalization and these data were considered by the statistical study of hypothesis as significant
