AVALIAÇÃO DA FLORA MICROBIANA E DE DEGERMAÇÃO EXPERIMENTAL EM EQUIPE DE ENFERMAGEM, AMBIENTE E MATERIAL SANITÁRIO, EM ENFERMARIA DE ORTOPEDIA E TRAUMATOLOGIA^*

RESUMO

Estudou-se a ecologia dos microrganismos aeróbios patogênicos em duas Enfermarias de Ortopedia e Traumatologia, observando-se predomínio de bactérias Gram negativas. A etiologia das infecções, adquiridas ou não no hospital, dos doentes internados, mostrou também predomínio acentuado de bactérias Gram negativas. As mãos e narinas de funcionários em contato direto com os doentes, mostraram presença de flora bacteriana aeróbia mista constituída de Gram positivos (patogênico e não patogênicos) e Gram negativos. Os resultados obtidos com a antissepsia de utensílios sanitários com solução contendo composto quaternário de amônio, metanol e etanol foram excelentes.
